Manal Kadry

Founder & Principal Designer

As the Principal Designer and name sake owner of her design firm, since 2014, Manal Kadry has been designing interior spaces. Her main focus is to oversea all the design projects from concept to completion. Manal's design approach relies on her in-depth knowledge and implementation of the design elements and principles. Her home designs completely bring the 'sense of peace' through the harmony of all the textures, colors, proportions and details coinciding in the space. With her impeccable eye for detail, she is a true visualizer with high expectations. She uses her knowledge of the design thinking process to problem solve effectively.


Manal Kadry graduated from College for Creative Studies in 2006 with a degree in Product Design, Interior Design and Art Education. In Detroit. She later earned her Leadership and Administrative degree where she has gained passion to direct projects, lead people and infuse her design background with everything she does. Through networking events over the years in a thriving design community, she has established a strong connection with the top leading designers around the world.


On her free time, she enjoys spending time with family, friends, and traveling to be inspired by the beauty in the world.

Melissa

Project Manager & Senior Designer

In 1999, Melissa attended the College for Creative Studies located in Detroit, where she met Manal Kadry. After graduating with a BFA in Interior Design, Melissa was immediately hired as a Designer at JGA Incorporated, a retail architecture and design firm ranked among the “Top 100 Interior Design Giants in the World” by Interior Design Magazine. She was involved in a number of high profile accounts, including Saks Department Stores, Tommy Hilfiger and Yankee Candle. While working in different cities like Las Vegas, San Francisco and North Carolina, she focused on hospitality design, restaurants, casinos, and other public spaces. After moving home to Michigan to be closer to family, she joined Manal to grow MKDC to better support the community through design where she enjoys laughing and working with her best friend.


When Melissa has free time she uses her design skill to help in renovating her home with her family who are also certified contractors in the trade.

3-D Designer & Junior Consultant

After studying Interior Design in Beirut and moving to Michigan, she also became a graduate from the College for Creative Studies during the pandemic. Her passion is creating retail experiences that encourage customers to create an inclusive relationship with the brand. On a personal level, she has an immense appreciation the way interiors blend and interact with communities and individuals within. Through purposeful design, her skill in creating 3D models and renderings has allowed MKDC to connect more visually with the community and people it serves.
